On this page you can find dogs which have been reported to us as missing as well as dogs we have found and which probably have an owner.

We find a lot of male dogs who have escaped and are looking for a bitch on heat - apparently they can smell them up to ten kilometres away - and then can't find their way home. We want to stress the importance of having your dog chipped, so we can trace the address - all the dogs we find are always checked for a chip by a vet. At the very least you should write your mobile phone number on the dog's collar with a permanent marker or attach an address tag.

February 2012 - Lost Dog (again!)

Once again Leon has gone missing from Gastouri (near Achilleon). He is a male collie, around 12 years old, with long light brown and white hair. He has kalazar and crotophobia. November 2011 - Dogs Found

These two dogs were found in the road near Gardelades along with a bowl of water. Were they lost or abandoned? Both are very friendly and enjoyed a wash and brush up. If you recognise them or knows who owns them please phone 6979798202.

October 2011 - Lost Dog

This dog went missing in the Ipsos area on 20 October. Its owners have offered a reward. If you have any information please phone 6936187954 or 6979798202.

August 2011 - Lost Donkey

Marley, a grey female donkey, went has gone missing from the Agios Ioannis / Triklino area, but if stolen may could be offered for sale anywhere on the island. If you see Marley or have any information please phone 69570 20996 or 26610 52892, or email her owner. A reward of 200 euros has been offered for anyone who finds her or for information leading to her recovery.

July 2011 - Lost Dog

This dog has been missing since 26 January. The family are deperate, but despite putting up posters and appealing on the local radio station, they have had no luck finding her.
