Complaint form - Maltreatment of Animals

Tourists often report to The Ark, by phone or email, how shocked they are by some of the treatment of animals that they have seen in Corfu or in other parts of Greece

This year the Greek Tourist Organisation has produced a new online form (in several languages) for tourists to complain about any aspect of their visit to Greece. The form also includes a section to complain about the maltreatment of animals. If lots of people make the effort to send in the form it can't be claimed that “nothing is wrong”.

Please download, fill in and mail the form to report your experiences of animals suffering in Corfu or the rest of Greece. If possible include photos. (The online form is a Word document. If your PC doesn't support Word for Windows follow this link where you will find a copy of the form that you can print and send by post. There are instructions on how to do this below the form.)

Save the completed form and attach it to an email which should be sent to akontos@minagric.gr & ka6u016@minagric.gr (Ministry of Agriculture - they are responsible for animal welfare); kouremenou_i@gnto.gr (Ministry of Tourism). Please also send a copy to info@corfuanimalwelfare.com for The Ark's records.

If you require the form in a language other than English click here and then click on the relevant flag at the top of the page.

(There is a recent Athens News article that has more about this initiative. To read it click here.)
